I am an archaeologist and a licensed national tour guide specialized in Sicily, with a deep passion for sharing the island’s rich history and culture.
I hold a degree in Classical Archaeology, specializing in the Ancient Topography of Magna Grecia Cities and Survey of Ancient Monuments. My academic journey began in Puglia, particularly in Lecce, where I cultivated my love for ancient civilizations and their stories.
I was born in a small town along the northeast coast of Sicily, in the Messina region, where every morning I’m greeted by breathtaking views of the Aeolian Islands.
Over the years, archaeology has taken me across Italy, where I worked on excavations to uncover Roman and Greek ruins with incredible teams. Driven by curiosity and a desire for new experiences, I then moved to London for four years, where I immersed myself in a multicultural environment.
In 2017, I returned to Sicily, my first love, to turn my passion into a profession. After earning my official tour guide license, I began introducing visitors to Sicily’s complex and fascinating culture—its art, architecture, archaeology, folklore, and traditions.
When I’m not guiding tours, I enjoy traveling and exploring new cultures. I have a keen interest in ethnic and jazz music, local customs, and cuisine. As a wine enthusiast, I earned a Level 1 certification from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) while in London and have a particular interest in food and wine pairing.
I also have a deep love for the ocean. I organize boat tours to experience the Aeolian Islands from the sea, and a few years ago, I completed an offshore sailing course. This has allowed me to join a sailing community in the Messina Strait, where I continue to enjoy life on the water alongside skilled skippers.
