Tour Overview
The northwestern corner of Sicily is a treasure trove of breathtaking landscapes, spectacular sunsets, ancient archaeological sites, and medieval monuments, surrounded by age-old vineyards. This area has been a crossroads of civilizations — Phoenicians, Greeks, Romans, Elymians, Sicans, and Arabs have all left their mark on the region’s traditions, cuisine, language, and culture.
Erice, perched on a hilltop, retains its medieval charm with narrow cobblestone streets that transport you back in time. From the summit, you’ll enjoy one of the finest views in Sicily, with the stunning Egadi Islands in the background.
Mothia is a small island nestled in the Marsala Lagoon, historically significant as the first Phoenician colony in Sicily. Abandoned after the Roman conquest, it has become a vital archaeological site offering a rare glimpse into Phoenician history. Accessible only by boat, Mothia is a fascinating destination — near the pier, the striking Marsala salt pans with their picturesque windmills create a truly memorable view.
